Q: Please explain your answer here.
A: A politician who only pushes the agenda of their party and who will not negotiate with the other party or parties is a drain on our nation.

Politics is give and take. Not just take and take. So being able to negotiate is very important. If the person negotiating can get what they want, or at least a large portion, while making concessions across the table/aisle, they’ll be able to build trust with the people they’ve been elected to govern and generate goodwill with the legislative bodies who write the bills.

The last decade has seen a “my way or the highway” mentality that is detrimental to the nation.

A: If a Person doesn’t have Integrity they have nothing. Politicians should be held to a higher standard and have compassion for any political job they do. Most of all they MUST believe and tell the truth. A great work ethic is essential. They must serve the People.

A: The core of who we are depends on our moral and ethical standards in how we relate to each other in everyday life. Integrity defines the natural ability to base your decisions on the right thing whether no one knowingly is aware of the choice or not.

A: All other traits in a leader are useless without integrity. You can be a retired Navy SEAL with a doctorate in economics. If you lack integrity I doubt I would support you candidacy.

Q: Please explain your answer here.
A: Integrity is of the utmost importance of the choices provided, as anybody from any background be deceitful & make empty promises. Given multiple choice, I’d say top choice from me would be integrity/honesty, straight talker, strong negotiator, & either business or military background, if not both.

Q: Please explain your answer here.
A: Integrity is the key to a successful leader. Some of the other traits are good to have, but integrity is the foundation that a leader must stand upon, in order to effectively carry out the duties of an elected office. At the end of the day an individual that can maintain their integrity, can make the hard right decision over the easy wrong one.
